We just turned 20! Our first café here in Salem opened in 2005. Since then, we’ve been roasting, baking, and welcoming neighbors (and the newly curious) ever since.
Salem at heart, Japan in spirit. Our founder’s love of Japanese coffee culture shapes everything: precision, warmth, and beauty in simple things. By the way, we have two shops in Japan!
Small-batch roasted in-house. We’re proud to be Salem’s first coffee roaster! Roasted here in Salem, MA, we make sure your cappuccino, drip coffee, or iced latte is never an afterthought and is always fresh!
Our motto, Live Slow, isn’t just a vibe. It’s how we pour, plate, and host!

Visit our original café! First opened in 2005, Derby has been freshly renovated and is steps from the water. Grab a window seat, watch the wharf come alive, and let time downshift.

Really get to know us and stop by our home base. We roast all our coffees here and craft much of what you’ll see in our pastry cases across town.
