The concept of the Witch also encompasses peaceful earth-based religions called Witchcraft and Wicca. It is important to make the distinction that not all Witches practice Wicca, and not all Wiccans are Witches. Both do have intersectionality when it comes to Paganism and the worship of the divine through nature.
Modern Witches, fictional Witches, and a history of people
being accused as Witches all exist in Salem today. It is no wonder that our charming seaport is recognized across the world as “The Witch City.”
